Is it still worth it?

I owned one for about 20 minutes but it had a dead pixel so I did not get much out of it. (Also owned a PSP, but not worth the 300 bucks.)

Also, holding them in stores is hard since they lock them down, etc. So the feel when I had it was kinda awkward, but also I had the black one which I was trying to be careful not to smudge or get finger prints on.
~Is the DS lite not very good for people with large hands/long fingers?
~Also, since BB had no games at all, what are some of the top games to look at?

Thanks.

Personally i think the DS has more of a "Fun" Factor to it if you know what i mean, and the psp it seems like to me it just has to much cramed into it .

i own both a psp and a DS Lite and id have to say i have more fun with my buddies playing mario kart DS than playing any game on the PSP.
Graphics on the psp are phenomenal for a handheld but the DS isnt to far behind.. sometimes graphics dont really matter i guess.

I've def. had more fun with the DS...I own a PsP but you get over the games really quick...Some games are good but you quickly loose interest after your left hand start cramping up from using that damn fake ass joystick....The only thing i've gotten more use out of from using the psp has been watching movies and listening to music whenever my Creative zen's battery dies.

Well, looks like I will go pick up another DS this week sometime.

Hopefully it will not be broken like last time.

Edit:Why am I an "Uber-noob?"

That is all me. I was playing around with the ranks...Probably shouldn't have been, but I threw a few in there. Do you not like it? I can always remove it...sometimes I get board and want to play around. But it does change once you get to 25 post. If you have any requests I can always put that one up for you, if you would like. ANd it will be special to you alone.

Actually I was going to ask what the ranks were, but I think it will be more fun to discover them as people post.

Just wondering though, how high do you have to go to get the highest rank?

Also, back on topic, I went to Target last night to pick up Zelda for the Wii.
Stopped to see if I want the DS, its just so hard to tell if my hands will like it since they have it chained down, etc.

Does anyone know if places like EBgames/Gamestop will let you hold one without it being chained down?

Finally, if you had to pick your top 5-10 games what would they be right now on the DS?

Thanks guys. You have to get to 3000 post for the highest rank right now. But it may change. If I get bored one day who knows what I will do, but I promise, nothing drastic. hahah

And RottynDawg you are so right about the community feel. I look foward everyday to get done with my other work just so I can hit the forums.

So to update this post;

I decided on a PSP...How do not ask, I think it had to do with Lego Star Wars, and Tekken.

~Over all I am very happy with the purchase this time around (also cause I did not buy from Best Buy..another story). It seems that I picked a good time to grab one also, as there are some nice games finally to be slated for this system to release, and I will actually get to enjoy them.

If you are wondering, why, I choose the PSP over the DS. It is mainly because I wanted almost a mini console. While the DS has its great titles, I wanted some graphic games, that I know the DS would never get.

Also, I was able to play with a DS for awhile at a story (without it being chained down), and it was just way to small for my hands. I do have larger hands so it made it a bit acquired to play over time.

The final reason was the DS I am hoping to be able to grab some console(ish) titles & get to experience them without dropping the 300+ price tag. I would love to get a 360/PS3 (which I could easily), but there are so many times that I am walking around/going place, and wish I had something to do while waiting.

So overall I am very happy with the PSP, I might even pick up a DS in a few months just for those exclusive titles that I know I will never get on the PSP. (Such as the Zelda, delayed AGAIN, Mario Kart, Super Mario Bros, and a few more.)

Rock on Dreamer!

I'll be getting a PSP eventually for my bride... she's a hardcore Jak and Daxter lover, from ps2, and I guess tehre is a Daxter game for psp?

She beat all the Jak series fast, and the Ratchet and Clank as well, that genre is her love.

Yeah, I have never been able to play much of the FF series so I was hoping maybe to be able to get into those (ironically) there are no FF out right now, but by the end of the year there should be 1-2 (3-4 by 08ish).

That is the Daxter game I have heard some good things about.
Hoping to get NFS/Tekken/(Own Star Wars)/MGS(or this new one can not remember the name).

Yeah, I got a Wii the opening week they came out.
Enjoyed Zelda fully, but sold it to a friend who wanted it a bit more.

I will be sure to grab one once Mario or Metroid comes out.

~Main reason I sold it was the lack of single player games. I knew they would be coming "soon," but I like to enjoy many games at the same time. So I do not get bored with a system.

~Must get a new PSP game soon, as I have finished the story line of Star Wars & am just doing the "free play."
