Alright, I can not find a link to the actual article for Maximum PC's review of another MAINGEAR F131, but I am here to tell everyone to go check it out. Page 64 I believe (I saw it yesterday at Barnes and Nobles) they do a full two page layout of a MAINGEAR F131. Maximum awarded us 9 out of 10 with the Kick ass award.

One of the quotes I believe was "with just a bit of tweaking this could be the perfect pc."

Well, we did the tweaking!!!

Finally got around to reading this review, and the one from CPU as well, and I have to say that I am very impressed (although the comment in MaxPC about the system being a bit loud worries me a touch.)

Ironically when I started looking at Maingear I really had not read many recent reviews of their rigs but in the month since then you've had reviews published in MaxPC, CPU, HardOCP and also scored big in HardOCP's "Best of the Best Awards."

You ever get a feeling that someone is trying to tell you something?

haha....maybe!

The MaxPC review said the system was a bit noisy, yes. But since then we have solved the problems. First, the power supply we used on the review machine, PCP&Cooling was our first culprit. It was a noisy power supply. We no longer use it. Second, some people have a misconception on the Freezone water cooled systems. They believe that these systems cut down noise when in fact they are a bit loud, not too bad, but do enhance performance. However, besides all of that, our great staff work hard and long to solve noise factor problems with that machine, and they have. And to believe it or not we also found a great substitute for the Freezone systems. Just one word Zalman! With the new power supply and placing a Zalman cooler on the chip instead of the water cooled system, we are able to get the same performance with practically the same temperatures as the water-cooled systems.

I read the review also and I was very impressed as well. The config that was tested is pretty close to what I want to order (Can't fit that second 8800GTX into the budget just yet). I have the review stuck on the wall. Unfortunately, the wife just sees the $$.

I don't think I've ever been so excited for tax time!!!!!!

Did anybody see the February edition of this mag? MAINGEAR has another spot. They put a MAINGEAR up against, Nintendo Wii, X-Box360, and Playstation3. They did a 5 point battle and MAINGEAR won 3 out of 5 for the win.

Yea I saw that. Why even compare them. Maingear took care of the consoles with ease. :heyea:
