As a very satisfied, recent customer I have a suggestion for Maingear about reaching out to a source of potential buyers. I use my system for flight sims, a long time hobby for me. These programs are very hardware intensive. The flight sim enthusiast is one of the segments of your market that is often and regularly upgrading or purchasing new systems. I have passed aong your contact info and given advice to several people in the last few weeks who are looking for powerful systems to run recently released flight sims. You should look into posting on a website, "Simhq", which focuses on simulators, about your ability to build reasonably priced, high powered systems. People I recommended you to were looking at systems from companies like Dell, Alienware and Hp. Of course, therei s nothing wrong with these companies. However, they offer basically average systems with relatively high prices and support that is adequate at best. Flight iare a small part of the market but many flight sim enthusuasts are ready wiiling and able to invest in the kind of computers that will make their simulators fly. I think that this could be a small but lucrative market for the type of high quality machines you build.

I totally agree with you. As someone who logged over 2500 hours in Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe and Falcon 3.0 back in the day, I know that Flight Sims guys are demanding and require best of breed equipment. Thanks for the reminder, we should definitely spend more time catering to them. I met two guys who ran SimHQ.com back at E3 2003...been a while!

When i was the marketing director I saw the huge potential to the flight sim market. I tried to gain some respect in that area and we were published in a few flight sim mags in the first part of 2007. It did have success. I'd like to see more go into it too. Those machines are usually the most top notch and bad ass!
