Ya I have no camera, but I'm trying to get my friend to let me borrow his when he comes over. And OMG the computer is amazing. I have Windows XP on it right now but I bought Windows Vista Ultimate (I will install at a later date).
But for now the computer is just to amazing... like it's to beautiful to play games on it.
:werd:
I also like the personal touches with the manual and especially that the game I got for free Rainbow 6 Vegas was Pre-Installed! LIKE TY!

And let me know how that Vista is running -- especially with games. I am getting paranoid that my new rig will......

i dont have it installed for that reason too im gonna give nvidia a few more months until im going to be playing games on it with that. Nonetheless i know that NVIDIA and all the companies are working on drivers. BUT SLI doesnt really work just yet with Vista that well.
But it will soon!
I am going to install VISTA in about 3months or so.
But it works great on Windows XP PRO!
back to my MAINGEAR!

Idea for MG, I do not know if this would cause problems or if they even have to time to do this, but...
~Before shipping the system taking two-three pictures of there system with a white background for them & place them in the notebook you send, or on a CD.
This way if people love there system so much they have blank shots of there systems that they can edit and show to off to others.

Heheehee!!!!! Just got the e-mail 2 minutes ago --- ORDER SHIPPED!!!! And just so you know...MG beat my VM ship date by at least 3 days. :)
The great thing is I have leave scheduled for Thursday and Friday...now wouldn't it be lovely if the machine arrived then?

I'm not posting this as a "slam" or negative remark...but VM isn't even in the same league as MAINGEAR. I think you'll be very impressed with what you see.

Well, I can't speak for the MG experience yet, but the biggest reason I didn't go with VM again is that they don't overclock. Their tech support (for me) has been great...no long hold times, and the machine has run flawlessly since Sep 06 when we got it. They did, however, ship it with a minor voltage issue (which the tech support diagnosed in about 60 seconds and I just went into the BIOS to fix.
I'll be sure to let you know what I think. What do you guys use for benchmarking? This VM has 3DMark06.
13 Mar 07 -- BUMMER EDIT: Called FedEx Express and they said the package hasn't been shipped yet.

928413465320 is my FedEx shipping number however, the website and the company service rep both said the package wasn't shipped yet (not found in system). They even checked by searching with my address. I'll call and bug MG customer service tomorrow on my lunch if it still shows not in the system.

I wouldn't worry so much about that. If they have given you a tracking number it is because the machine is boxed and ready to go. We usually have late night pickups of our machines from the ones that were boxed to go that day. Being today is the 14th I would assume that it is in MAINGEAR until a Fedex man comes and picks it up. Normally it wont register on their system till the following day. Occationally, if a pick up is not scheduled it may sit over night until some one from MAINGEAR hand delievers it to Fedex.
If it had its tracking number for the 13th I would say the delievery man didnt get it yesterday, and is either picked up today or brought to Fedex. But I would still call if you dont here anything by tomorrow afternoon.

I had MG ship my new rig with Vista installed. No problems whatsoever. Direct X 10 and the direct x 10 video card makes my games look great and play flawlessly. I can't wait for the first batch of games written for direct x 10.

Yep, mine didn't populate on the Fedex tracker until the following day and then it will sit in Keasby NJ overnight most likely, so the original estimated delivery date will jump up a day from the one you see when the tracker first populates.
Please be gentle Fedex :( AZ is a long way from NJ!

Well, I finally got home about 6:30 pm Central and called MG, crossing my fingers that someone would answer at the late hour...luckily Rafael, who I ordered from originally answered the phone. I told him my dilemma (no Fedex shipping number found). It turns out the shipping number I was sent Monday night from Maingear sales was one digit off. My system is leaving Newark today. It should be here Friday, exactly 29 days after I ordered. :)

Well good old Fedex delivered the package yesterday around 11 am. I was on leave so I spent the next hour making sure there was no damage, setting her up, and checking out the peripherals in Vista. New M-Audio LX-4 speakers sound luscious, and the Razer mouse and keyboard work fine. I have pictures, but no idea how to post them here. If anyone has a "Posting Pictures for Dummies" post, I'll be happy to put a few up. Here's another dumb question...how do you open the case on this one? Is it just the one thumbscrew on the back end? No need to open it now (seems to be running fine), but in a month or so, I'll want to dust the interior with my canned air.

Congrats, whorton. Next, a Reseller posting! :D
Upload your pictures to an image hosting site like Photobucket or Image shack. Copy the URL for the picture you want to post (I keep two windows open if posting more than a single picture). Then just click on the "Img" button above the box you'll type in while posting here, and paste the URL you just copied. Or, download Flock - it allows you to simply drag the image into from a row of images at the top of the screen into your post.
Looking forward to seeing your new machine.
