Well, what can I say... the first time I went to place my order it did not give me the option to ship to Puerto Rico, but I called and it was all taken care of. Just being able to talk to someone in no time makes a big difference. That already had me sold, the system I configured was about 57 hundred dollars. Not super uber high end, but not cheap in anyway either. The reason I mention this, is not to show of, but there is a significant difference from the expectations from a 3k system then from one thats almout 6k. Like cars, you cant expect you hyundai to run, feel or look like a Mercedes.

So once I commited and hit "Place Order" my expectations were set pretty high. With that in mind... let me say this, Maingear has one of the nicest staffs, if not the nicest and commited to help in almoust any industry. It would be unfair to compare them to almoust any other staff as they would clearly wipe the floor with the likes of HP, Dell, Sony... all of that. Trully a class of its own.

The only real issue I would say (again looking it with the high expectation scope) was the kind of blank period from them in regards as to when system was being built, etc. But e-mail them and withing a few hours your totally updated on the issue. But maybe a "motu propio" approach as to say "you system is set to be build on X day and finished on Y day" could have been nice. But again... thats me nit picking.

In regards to the system, well... WOW high quality all the way, except ONE tiny little issue, the top "cover" where you connect you dvi cables, usb etc is a little too low, dont know if its just me nit picking or what, but think DVI cables make it kind of a drag to put back and close. other then that, this system was well planned and delivers an amazing computing experience.

The system really is classy, no screaming lights, no nonsense... elegant and practical.

After buying it, I decided to add some RAM and I ran into some issues, and they have been very kind to help me out, and we finally fixed everything perfectly, eventhou I did not purchase the extra ram from them... that shows serios commitment to customers... and the basis for a long lasting relationship. My next computer will be a Maingear... I have no doubt about that.

If anyone is thinking twice about this companys commitment to service and quality, rest assured you will not find a better staff in the pc industry, or practically any other industry for that matter.

Thanks guys!!!! :)

I am glad you like that. As for the the blank period. Everyone should realize that they care about each customer and their machine. A lot of testing goes into each machine and because of that it takes time so you cannot say 3 weeks and than it be a month or 2 days and be 2 weeks. Something may happen since the hardware is from the manufacture.

Though I would be eager to find out too sometimes that extra time is worth it for a reliable system for years.

Thanks for sharing your great experience with us! Waiting is hard, but what you're waiting for is a unmatched level of preparation, building, and testing that is well worth it. Enjoy!

As a customer who just placed an order and is in the "blank" period, this is really cool to read. Congrats on the system - I bet it's awesome!

The community of Maingear is growing ever since 2002. It feels like a cult, yet not in a religious way. :P

Great review as usual from customers. :)
