View Full Version : How many of you are or were addicted to this game.
I played WoW for about almost 2 years and wow am I glad I stopped. This game caused a lot of enjoyment in my life. It made me go out a get a new *cough* Maingear *cough* pc and I just loved playing the game. Now my real life what a mess. The girlfriend was very upset that I never wanted to hang out with her. I stopped hangin out wit my friends who didn't play the game.. Sleep never happened. I was tired all day long at work. Just a mess. Then I went and I sold my account for 300 dollars and Ive never been happier. :) :) :)

I think you to need to duke it out in CS:S or something. haha
lets get back to the subject at hand. I never took a liking to WOW. Just could'nt get into it.
The game is just so addicting, I have never ever been into any Rpgs let along MMORPGs and man this one is just great. good thing I stopped though. Im down for a good ole CS:S match......

well, you directed your topic towards people who "are or were addicted to WoW." maybe he was previously addicted to it. he only said "i don't play WoW," not implying he didn't used to. but yeah, i was never into WoW either. put me on the list. i can't stand games that consume more of your life they should.

WoW to me is like a giant treadmill. The whole purpose of the game is just to continuously level up.
You start out by completing a bunch of mundane fetch-quests in order to get more gear, level up, get more gold--so you can complete harder, longer fetch-quests and fight tougher monsters, again for no other reason than to level up and continue in the circle.
All the quests, even the higher level ones, are like, "Kill ten of these monsters" or "collect twelve baskets" or whatever.
IMO the only thing that makes the game worth playing are the PvP battlegrounds and doing instances with a group of friends.
I think it's really overrated, but I admit it can be addicting. You can really easily get caught up in doing dull little quests, and there's always more to do.
