Wow, that's one smokin' X-Cube Gempulse! Funny how ordering a MAINGEAR can make time stand still. But don't worry, it's gonna be worth it! Looking forward to your pics and feedback. And yes, you will be rockin'!

Very nice system Gem! You put in one mean video card, that thing should scream. Just ordered an X-Cube a bit ago myself; can't wait to give the new machine a spin.

Question, I have an email confirmation that says my order has been processed. Does this mean they have started/will begin building my machine?
I'm getting ready to explode because I have that new Samsung 23inch LED, and some nice ass klipsch speakers just sitting in my room without a computer to use them on :)

I had the same question and called them up about it, the response I got was simply, "no". This just means that they have charged the credit card for the cost of the computer and shipping. There are other steps to go through before they actually get started on building it.
Remember, Maingear is a boutique integrator - it buys the parts from the various companies and builds the computer for you. This means that they will need to actually order the parts you want and have them delivered to their shop before they begin building your computer - I believe this delay is called "leadtime".
Once they have all the parts and your computer is next in the queue to be built, THEN they will begin to build it. I think I read somewhere that the tech assigned to build your computer will email or call you when ready to start, but don't quote me on that.
Anyway, in short: nope, they still have to order the parts you want. Maingear's website lists the estimated time from placement of order to shipping the computer to you as 14 days, so you have a ways to go yet unfortunately.
I'm in the same boat, actually - ordered last week around this time, and my X-Cube should be shipping sometime next week. Time seems to slow down enormously! :(

I ordered my X-Cube back in January and checked my order status on the accounts page nearly every day, b/c it made me feel like I was "helping" my new X-Cube arrive faster. That three weeks felt like three months, so just savor the wait and enjoy your new machines when they arrive!! I am so much happier with an MG than a large vendor computer and for me the wait was worth it!

Thanks, Gus.
I was the one who called about the USB adapter for wireless internet, apparently the Linksys wireless N adapter isn't compatible with windows 7. I went to Best Buy and exchanged it for a Netgear wireless N adapter, which is compatible with win 7.
I got it up and running in no time, and I'm considering buying a new wireless N router from Netgear as their customer support was superb, and their product was very easy to install.
Back to watching Troy on Blu-Ray then going to spend the remainder of the night causing Havoc on Just Cause 2. :-)
