Maingear,
First let me say! You have lived up to your reputation as I did an exhaustive search for a computer builder and your Angel service and commitment to your customer was my over all reason for selecting Maingear. Let me give a special thanks to Gustavo for all of his help in getting me up and running with software conflict issues and a graphic card replacement and Chris for the call to help me choose the right computer. I purchased this computer not for gaming but for graphic design which I’m very impressed with the speed and graphic card quality that I expect as a designer. My setup allows for multi-screen and multi-application use in designing my characters.
Thanks!
My Computer:
X-Cube (For space and to keep up off the floor due to my dogs and cats hair clogging my fan and disconnecting my cables)
Asus Rampage II Gene X58 Motherboard
Intel i7-920
ATI Rampage 5870 graphic card
2 x 1TB hard drives with RAID redundancy
12 gig’s Kingston DDR3 Memory
Cooljag FalconII fan along with a 750W Silverstone
8X Lite-On Blu-ray
TV Tuner ATI Wonder 650 HD
Windows Home premium 64 bit
System Overclocked
The following are concerns I’ve come across with my X-Cube which were all fixable and again Maingear lived up to their reputation.
1. Ordered the computer 1/15/2010 Received 2/15/2010
2. Out of the Box a great packaging and presentation with the book, but what I could’ve used was a data sheet telling me what each CD disk other then window was for and what driver would be found on the disk. Like Cyberlink programs
3. My first problem was setting up two monitors which by cable swapping we narrowed it down to the ATI 5870 graphic card. Gustavo had a new one en-route the next day.
4. After replacing the Graphic card I was experiencing problems getting sound to my Audio receiver. Gustavo to the rescue again I used the S/DIF cable option to the receiver and he adjusted some of my Graphic card interfaces and Software Sitting walah!!! Sound!
5. I would have liked the TV Card to come with a remote but you can buy one on line and actually my old Windows Media Center remote works well with Media Center and CyberLink PowerDVD programs.
6. USB ports in rear are partially coverd by the fram making it hard to plug in additional USB divices.
My kudos on your new building good fortune and your employees commitment to customer service!
