I am VERY interested in purchasing an X-Cube system this summer. Two questions...

1. Is the q6600 a CPU option? It is not listed as so on the configuration page.
2. Will you be switching to a g33 based motherboard soon?

i'm getting a little tired of reviewers knocking a system for poor vista performance, that's not their fault! i have trouble figuiring how it could be maingears fault specifically that vista wasn't performing well, aside from not preloading it with the most up to date drivers (which maingear does, although i'd like to think most people that order from maingear can figure out how to update their drivers).

Must agree on that factor; though it is still the opinion of the reviewer to dock points where they feel neccessary.

My issues with the review, or reviewer:
~Docked for no Blu-ray or HD-DVD drive...WTF!! First of all, who the hell needs a gaming rig with Blu-ray/HD-DVD player. Also he said that with equal pricing you could get that from other competitors...I would like to know who?

~He also docked them for not having 4gigs of memory for that price...WTF, who the heck needs 4gigs currently in a GAMING rig. Second for that price anywhere (other than your generic builders) you can not find 4gigs of memory cheaply.

Overall, good complements, but the points off are just things they are trying to push to be negatives & not actual things wrong with the PC.

I'm going to take a look at that in the morning and find out for you. I thought it was an option, but I could be mistaken. Maybe it got lost in the transfer of sites??

Plan1x, I checked yesterday evening; there seems to be TWO Q6800 actually, with different prices. So maybe it was just a spelling error when creating the site.

Yea, I just noticed that too...I addressed the issues and I was advised it will all be fixed by Monday.

Any updates on my questions? Also, is the windowed version of the case the same price?

I was going to buy that X-Cube but at the last moment I switch to the F-131. Funny went from Form Factor to Big Case!
