Yea, so I am building a new house right now, so my budget was around $1900 bucks. With shipping this system ended up being $1905. I really think the F131s are damn sexy, but the wife won't let me touch any of the "money for the new house" stash. hehe

I have 2 Raptors that I might throw in there, so I didn't really care to upgrade the hard drive too much. I am also making the plunge and trying out Vista. I have my own copy of XP pro, if Vista doesn't work out.

I mainly picked Maingear based on customer reviews, and also how well built they look from the pictures I have seen in this forum. Plus I like the fact that they are actually built by hand on a table, instead of going through an assembly line, like how Alienware has turned into. :D

Ok, since last night I had just gotten home I did a quick run through everything and crashed before I could actually write anything.

System looks greats, and I do hope you enjoy the wait, a suggestion for you when you get your system. Since you have two raptors already, you could always load up XP on one and Vista on the other (or keep Vista on the 160HD), and be able to dual boot your system. This helps a lot when learning Vista so if you get upset you can just reboot & boom back to XP. Plus it helps with an easier switch over to Vista.

Hi, thanks for the advice.
I was actually thinking about doing that the other day. :D

Woohooo

My Prelude came in yesterday July 11th !

So just to let people know who are interested in getting
a PC from Maingear, I ordered my Prelude on June 28th
and I received it on July 11th. It was shipped on Monday
June 9th, and got to me via Fedex ground on June 11th.

I have already opened her up and I am completely satisfied.
I have not had a chance to load up any games on her, but I
will be doing that tonight.

Also I will take a few pics.

But overall, the system was packaged very well, and of course
built perfectly.

Grats on the new system.
~This is not a shot at anyone, cause I do it also. Though you notice how most (guys at least) refer to there PC/Laptops as "she" or "her."

I know in cars many guys name there cars girls name, but it is interesting to see a piece of it come over to the PC world.

Hey guys

Well I have had the system now for over a week and I love it.

So far I have mainly only played World of Warcraft and Call of Duty 2
on her. But both games ran way over 60 FPS with every turned up and at a 1680x1050 resolution.

I have been out of town the last couple of weekends, but I do plan I installing more games on her and taking some pics to put up on here.

But I got my raptors installed and it runs like a dream. But originally Vista came with my system, and after trying it out for 3 or 4 days, its cool, but for now I am sticking with XP, mainly because all of the games I currently play run better in XP.

Sounds like a lot of people.
Though, I am sure you still have it installed, if you are not gaming you should try Vista out. See the ins & outs of it doing "daily" task. Let us know if anything improves for the better.

Very cool Soupy...looking forward to some pics :)

My gaming system won't be going to Vista anytime soon either for many of the same reasons; that and I'm too lazy to spend that many hours building it and setting up everything when the gaming performance is still in question. SP1 is due fairly soon so that may change things...beta was supposed to release this week but I haven't seen it yet.

I will be putting Vista on my wife's computer tonight as a "test" ;)

Congrats on the new PC purchase and welcome to the forum, Soup.

Was going to say to best give your PC a break often as she might keep your interest more so than the wife. :P
