Hi Guys,
I'm not getting updates on whether my rig has shipped or not. It originally had an 2/10/11 shipping ETA. 2/10 came and went and there were no updates. I sent an inquiry via helpdesk ticket saying that the new ETA is 2/11. It's not 8pm PST (11pm EST) and no confirmations if it was shipping or an update on a delay.
I'm not trying to be super fussy - I just would like to know if there is a process in place to tell me that 1. Yes your RIG has shipped and here's the tracking number... or 2. It didn't make the shipping deadline due to reasons A,B,C. I'm completely understanding about any issues that might pop up and just want to be in on the loop.
Are helpdesk tickets not the best way to get a definitive (or timely) answer? Should I try an old fashion phone call?

Feels like waiting for a date to pick me up but the date hasn't called to tell me whether he's left the house or not. =)
