Many people have requested that we do a better job of communicating from the time an order is placed to the time we ship. To accommodate this request we've spend some considerable effort modifying our e-commerce backend, which was never designed to have this functionality, in order to give you better visibility during the build process. At each step, you'll now receive email notice that you've progressed through our build process. Here's the different steps that will trigger an email to you:
1) System Kitted: We’ve gathered all your components and have sent them to our build technicians. They’ll expertly integrate them into the configuration you chose, and make sure that the system is beautifully wired and free of any physical blemishes.
2) System Built: Good news! Your technician has completed the physical build process and has sent it to the production line to get its OS and software load.
3) System QA – Burn in: We are running demanding synthetic benchmarks to stress your system in ways the average user never will. This is where we catch any hardware failures before you receive the system. This step may take a few days, especially if you have an overclocked system, or if we catch a failing part and have to replace it.
4) System Hold – Contact Us: We might be waiting on your MARC laser etching pattern, or some other input we require of you before we complete your system. Please contact us at your earliest convenience!
5) System Finished – Awaiting Shipment: You’ve been boxed up and the next email you get from us will be a tracking number! It is possible that you’ll get a tracking number before ever getting this status update, however.
6) System At Depot For Customer Pickup: If you’re a local customer and have requested to pick up at the factory, this status update will let you know your system is built, packed, and ready for pickup!
7) Order completed
We are gradually bringing this system online, so if you have an order in now you may not get any of these updates, especially if you're close to being shipped.

I received my first notification yesterday. This is a fantastic feature. It's nice not left in the dark on the status of something you've invested a fair amount of coin into.
I was wondering when this process was put into place. As I had ordered a new Vybe system back on 2/23, and haven't received any of these notifications.

Hi Rook - as we're still waiting on our first shipment of DH67CL boards, yours hasn't progressed beyond "processed"...
Thanks Chris for the speedy reply, but the board I selected on my hardware layout was the Intel X58 Chipset (the only option available for the Vybe SS6; I should have put my full model type in my above post). My understanding was that these boards were not effected by the Intel flaw (though I know your team came up with a work around for the H67 and P67). So, I had assumed the issue with intel would not delay the overall build time

My bad, I saw Vybe and thought "stock" - give us a call today and talk to sales to see what's up - I'm sure we're just backed up right now...but I'm sure you'll ship by the end of this coming week just based on your order date. Sometimes it takes a few days to even get to the kitted stage.

Hi Chris,
My stock Vybe is scheduled to ship on 28 March, and I have received no notifications of any kind. Is it really possible for my stock Vybe to run the entire course from kitting through System Finished in the amount of time between today and hte 28th of March ? I understand the original four week wait that began at my purchase back in February was due specifically to the unavailability of the DH67CLB3 boards, and those boards are now available all over the place (BOOXDH67CLB3) by the case, so maybe you folks have received your shipments by now. I log in every couple of days to view my order status, and it still reads "Processed". I guess what I'm curious about is, how long does it take for a stock Vybe to progress from kitted to complete ? The reason I'm asking is I'm not really clear on on firm that 28 March shipment date is for my particular order, since I don't really know what may or may not cause a delay in a stock Vybe. Any info would be greatly appreciated. thanks - jim

Hi Jim, please send me your order number and I'll check. And yes, there's still plenty of time to make it through our whole process.

And I just checked, we have the DH67CL boards in stock, so at this point you're in queue. We do have a massive backlog that we're slowly but surely whittling down...

Hi Chris,
My order# is 10216. Pretty much a generic stock Vybe wtih a 2600K and 8Gb ram. Thanks for the reassurance about the timeline - I travel on business a lot and I want to make sure I'm home the week it arrives. If I had to adjust my travel, I would, if I knew for sure what dates to stay home (I have an understanding boss, but there's a limit to his understanding ...) jim

Hey Chris,
With time to ship approaching, and no status change (still just indicating "Processed"), I called the sales desk this afternoon and inquired as to whether or not 28 March was still my ship date. The answer was "maybe", because apparently Maingear is out of DH67CLB3 boards again and is expecting boards in house some time this week. Any assistance in discovering when my Vybe is actually going to be built would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for any help you are able to provide. - jim

The MOM just recently received her new Vybe and I got to watch the update notification in action. It's very nice and should make the wait for a new rig much easier on customers. Thanks MAINGEAR for constantly striving to give us the best service! =)

Hey, I got the "Processed" email for my SS F131 about twelve days ago. When can I expect my next update? They said the shipping date is the 19th, So i'm a little worried they wont be able to keep schedule if it still isn't kitted.

Hi J-Fly, the leadtime between processed and kitted is the longest. We'll let you know if there are any delays...
