Hey was reading Gizmodo and came across this
http://gizmodo.com/gadgets/logitech/logitech-updates-g15-keyboard-with-gamepanel-lcd-screen-284720.php
I have the first G15 and love it to death. However I don't think that i will upgrade just don't see the point right now when my keyboard is functioning right now. Any way Plan1x do you think that MG is going to start carry those or just keep with the first gen model.

I actually hope it's the earlier model they're still selling, as I think it's better! I'll be disappointed if my new system arrives with the newer model G15, which I wouldn't have ordered in its new incarnation....
Hrmm... maybe I should call support and see if they're using the new one, and if so change to the Saitek keyboard...

Wow....I haven't seen that in here yet, so I wouldn't worry about it. But I'll do a little digging and let you know for sure.

Ok, I didn't have to dig deep. I spoke to our Inventory manager and he said that we are not selling them now, but eventually we will be.

Great! Give me a v.1 G15 with mine! Thanks for the update, Plan1x.

Is the newer one not as good of quality; what is it about it that you don't like blindem? I won't be buying one until they make an ergo version but I'm curious :)

The thing that I like least is they reduced the number of programmable function/macro "G" keys to 6 (and put them in a very different configuration, obviously). They also changed the LCD (instead of flip, it is now built into the keyboard body) and the color of the keyboard backlighting (to orange from blue). That's all I remember right off hand, but it was enough to put me off the new one.

Ahhh, just changing the LCD from flip to integrated might be enough to hedge me away...assuming they had an ergo version :)
