Hey guys! Have been doing alot of research in buying a new computer. I made a huge mistake and made a purchase from Cyberpower. After having my pc for a couple weeks it completely crapped out on me. I sent it back and requested a refund. So I am awaiting my money to be transfered back into my account to buy a computer from here. Just wondering what you guys had to say about your computers from here.

I've owned a Shift Superstock since early February. I highly endorse MAINGEAR's corporate philosophy. Sorry to hear about your Cyberpower. Stuff happens, tho. How were you treated and handled by Cyberpower? The most valuable thing you would be purchasing from MAINGEAR is their excellent service and support. Having said that, their components are generally state of the art and top of the line, fairly priced (fair, not low). The engineering is sound and the assembly and testing are borderline obsessive-compulsive. The Shift cases are heavily built and run quiet at their base sound configuration. If you chose a high end machine, buy MAINGEAR's Redline overclocking service. The cosmetics and sound abatement offered are a matter of personal taste (and budget). Research extensively, here and elsewhere. Best of luck with your quest. I'll post more to any specific topics you may inquire about.

The experience at cyberpower was awful. I never got through to anyone and it would always take a day for them to get back to me. It literally felt like I just had a $2,000 ship anchor that no one would help me with. I have been reading these forums for the past few days and noticed everyone is pretty happy with the customer support. I'm from Ohio and I would much rather be doing business with someone in NJ opposed to California. I appreciate the advice guys!

Thanks Chris. I have seen you quite a bit on here replying to posts in a professional manner helping people out. It has something I haven't seen much with alot of these other companies. I definitely look forward to doing business with you guys here in the near future.

I completely agree. I ordered my system the weekend before the Sandy Bridge/Cougar Point recall earlier this year. The morning the news broke I called Maingear, and my call was answer immediately by Chris. No waiting on hold, no customer service rep who had no idea what I was talking about. Chris just answered the phone, explained what was going on, and gave me some options. Fantastic service on what was probably the most chaotic day of the year for them.

Cant say the same for cyberpower. I had problems with my computer the day after I got it and would have to wait at least a day before I got a response. It was a bad feeling knowing that I had a $2000 paper weight. It was just one thing after another and the worst part is the guys who would call me back could barely speak any english! That is why I just decided to get a refund. Wich I would have stumbled across main gear a month ago. Its funny if you go to the cyberpower forums and read the reviews it is amazing they are still in business.
