View Full Version : Received Vybe, Review within!

I ordered this machine on June 10th, and just received it today. Overall I'd say I'm pretty happy considering after all the research I did I found a system that fit my performance needs for a price better than I could find at other companies such as Falcon, Origin etc. It did take a bit longer than I had hoped to complete the order but after I called customer service they squared me away nearly immediately.
One issue, the Asus Xonar DX card was not receiving power, but I figured out this is a common, easy to fix issue and I resolved it within a few minutes.
All in all I am satisfied, but I think that the product status system could use a few tweaks to give better estimates, such as # of machines being built ahead of yours and a few updates in the build is going way over the estimated times.
And yes, I already put the car decal on my car.

That's awesome to hear, as I am also waiting on my Vybe! However, that makes me a little worried considering I ordered mine the 30th, I probably won't see it for a while, eh? :( But some updates during the wait/build would be a good idea worth considering.
You should put up some pics/videos of your Maingear product, there aren't many on YouTube or other sites..

I agree with you on the whole update process. My computer is supposed to ship tomorrow, but I have gotten no updates sent to me on where it is in the process. It says my order has been processed which was back on the 20th of June, so I am assuming it is sitting there waiting to be built. Bummer!

Hi Guys,
Just FYI - not a single system just 'sits' here, waiting to get built. This year, like last, is record breaking and everything MAINGEAR earns is going right back into the company to improve every aspect of it. Most is going towards manufacturing and automation. Things like special customer back ends with timelines/updates etc, are being worked on as I type this. We have some systems in beta and others that are still being put together/coded. These things take time but just like our systems we're making sure they're done right.
Rest assured we're taking all measures possible to shorten lead times while still putting out the highest quality product. We've said it before and I'll say it again, we will NEVER sacrifice our QC/Burn in process for the sake of a deadline. There is a reason why our RMA's are near non-existent. We even put our new employees through stress test and QC (LOL) but then again that’s why we build the best systems in the industry!

Well let me rephrase that...I didnt mean sitting there as in people were just looking at the order and doing nothing. I meant it as "in line" waiting to be built. I know you guys do the right thing when it comes to building, and I would rather have a system not meet the deadline but work correctly than have a system meet deadline but have a short lifespan. I guess I was just getting at having a better system for updating people. Considering it was supposed to ship tomorrow and I had no notifications how would I know it was going to be late. I did not mean for the post to be offensive to your business.

Danny,
I don't think anyone said to sacrifice the quality for time. I didn't mind the wait, but what did bug me a bit was the fact that the "estimates" were way off. Yes, the emails say they are "just estimates" and understandably, if you're working to capacity because you are in high demand you probably wont be able to meet them. It's cool that you are looking at a new timeline/update system and that will definitely be something that will go over well with future customers. People just like to be reassured. Yeah, I KNEW that you guys were probably busy, but It still would have been relieving to hear it.
As a disclaimer these last few days with my Vybe have been amazing and make me glad that I went with Maingear, and I'd definitely rate my experience a 9/10 overall, but that email I was talking about would probably bump it to a 10/10

Hi Dieuos, thanks for your feedback, we do listen to our customers. Danny and I have been very busy these past several weeks dialing in internal processes to make sure that we are a) more accurate on estimates b) communicating more often/better with our customers and c) moving more systems through production without sacrificing quality. We do appreciate your patience with us!

Rmhavy, could you please get me your order number? We were attempting to send out some notifications last night, but some customers received incorrect dates, I just want to make sure...thanks for your patience!
