Firstly I want to say, I've been gaming awhile. A LONG while. Since 1972 in fact.
That said, I've been through, probably, more than 100+ consoles/computers since that time. I've dealt with many companies - a good percentage of them makers of custom rigs. (You're probably thinking - with that record, why not build your own? -- To be honest, it just never interested me to do so. I always recognized that someone else could do it better than I could.)
I'll never need to deal with another company - ever.
Let me say my relationship with MAINGEAR didn't start out perfectly. I had some problems with my build, and then some problems again. At times I almost (read: ALMOST) regretted spending the chunk of change that I did. But despite the issues, and the frustrations (on both our parts I am sure) -- MAINGEAR stood by their product, and, more importantly? They stood by *me*.
That's a rare thing. A VERY rare thing.
I won't get into specifics - because, quite frankly, I don't recall the sequence of events other than I had to ship the rig back twice. It was a pain in the ass. As was the hours on the phone troubleshooting issues in an attempt to avoid those returns.
But that pain in the ass is long forgotten.
Forgotten because MAINGEAR did EVERYTHING to make sure it was forgotten. Everything - and then some.
From tech support (Ivan!) walking me through things - patiently, always joking around (even after a "graphics glitch" that we worked on for not a little while - actually turned out to be a faulty monitor cable).. to Danny Soars offering advise on possible solutions, and even troubleshooting some of the problems himself - I can't say I've ever had such a rewarding experience as a customer.
I won't go in to my build and specs -- other than to say I have an amazing rig that now runs like a top. I am 1000% satisfied with it -- and just ordered a new laptop for my son.
I think most custom gaming computer companies can build a fast computer. What really, really, sets MAINGEAR so far ahead of the game? --- they value their customer in a way I've never before experienced. They obviously love what they do - and it really shows.
Thanks Maingear!
