Well after finally getting re-registered (for some reason it failed to send the verification email to me the first time--wasn't even in my junk folder) it's great to see Maingear having a forum.... again!

I don't own one--I came really close, but at the last minute decided to build my own instead. I've tried to mimic a number of Maingear's techniques in my own work on my PC. I had thoroughly researched pretty much every boutique on the planet, so I think it's a testament to Maingear that I had picked them. What can I say though, I got the itch to learn the craft!

I think that these days, a lot of boutiques are more famous for their prices than their work. I think Maingear does exceptional work for a fair price, so hopefully in time you guys will be giving the big boys some heat. When people ask me about computers, I refer them straight to Maingear.com.

On a side note, when the forums were up before, there was a thread going where people were posting pics of their Maingears. I'd love to see some more.

I'm in Tulsa, OK.

Believe it or not I'm in the process, along with a fellow tech-savvy friend of mine, of looking into starting a boutique PC company some time within the next year or two. Right now we're just in the process of researching the industry and figuring out costs, contracting, web design, etc., trying to get a picture of what we can realistically do, while starting to flesh out branding concepts and such.

But yeah, there are only a few boutiques I'd seek to emulate because we plan to aim for the high-end (as opposed to your CyperPowers, iBuyPowers, ABSs and such), and Maingear is definitely at the top of the list of the companies we really admire and hope to one day compete with.
