I placed an order for an F131 on septem ber 6th I am an International customer so the order processing took awhile. I did'nt expect it to go smoothly but having to call maingear several times in order to get them to charge my card was kind of unexpected especially since people have been raving at how the customer service is very personal.
My card was eventually charged on the 20th of September.

This is the system I ordered:
F131 CrossFire $3,990.57

Customizations:
Exterior Automotive Color: Speed Yellow
Power Supply: Seasonic SLI Extreme Gaming Edition- S12-600W
Motherboard: ASUS P5W DH DELUXE/WIFI-AP

Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
Mouse: LogitechÆ G5 Laser Mouse - Free Paint Match!

At the time of my order I asked for an ATI 1950XT and inquired about the custom paint and how long the order would take to build.

I was told they expected the Video card by September 14th and that the yellow paint was in stock and that it should take a couple weeks to be shipped. I asked if they meant around a month I was told aprox 20 days.

It's now 5 weeks since I placed the order and over 20 days since they charged my card during this time I have never been updated on the status of my order nor did I get a reply from my emails regarding build status.

What dissapoints me the most is that the configuration page has been updated now and if you configure my system today it is $140 cheaper! I could have used that to get a logitech G15 keyboard with matching paint and another opitcal drive with that money!!

The only way I have been able to follow up on my order is by making International calls to maingear and as of my last call my system is supposed to be done this week...

I have ordered systems from Alienware and Dell and have always been dissapointed with the amount of time it takes to get an order completed ...I had much higher expactations for Maingear.

Wow man that doesn't sound right. I had a few problems myself but nothing that wasnt taken care of. Maingear was great. And that is why I recommend them. The build took a while too for me but I would rather know my **** was being taken care of rather then rushed out. Where are you from, you said you make international calls? cause it was my understanding that maingear didnt ship internationally as of yet. My buddy in england tried getting one and we shipped it to my house here in florida first then I sent it over to him.

I hope that everything turns out alright for you. And i hope the machine you ordered kicks ass. The yellow paint gotta look awsome. I had mine painted blue. It looks like the acura rsx blue. I love it. I would love to here what you have to say about it once you recieve it. and see pictures of course cause we all know I love pictures.

Me and a few of my friends jumped on the maingear band wagon and we have had problems here and there but nothing to make us upset for long. From my experience maingear staff usually makes everything right even if things go bad. Like I said wait it out and hopefully everything turns out alright. and again post pics when you get it and let me know how it runs.
Until then good luck and I hope everything works out.

I'm currently in the Middle east but I'm having the computer shipped to my address in NY.

I know the system will be amazing when it gets here but the wait and the price diffrence are just ruining the experience for me

Update:

This is the response I got from Maingear:

Hello Haya,

I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience of the delays thus far. Your system is already built and configured, minus the sound card you ordered. We'll be receiving it on Monday morning and can guarantee that your system will ship that day. We experienced delays on a few things, one was the paint on the new case we've replaced the old Lian Li with and another was the sound card. Please forgive the lack of communication throughout the process, we've just been really crazy over here with all the changes that have been going on. We also don't ship internationally, so when we got the order it seemed we weren't going to be able to build you a machine. Then we got the shipping address in the U.S. and we were glad we'd be able to do it for you. We then also had some problems with the credit card itself, but it got taken care of. Nonetheless, it's no excuse, but we've been busy making changes to our lineup and website. We're now offering the paint for free! That's right, FREE! So anyone that orders an F131 can get their machine with the awesome automotive finish and use the otherwise spent $300 on something else. We're stocking all our colors so there's not a 30 day delay on paint. Unfortunately, you ordered your machine in the middle of this entire process and we've been trying to get it all together since. We finally got the yellow Lian Li V1000's in and they're beautiful! =) Yours looks great and if you'd like I can send you some pics of the built machine. The machine has already been configured and O/Ced, all that's left is to do is add that sound card. Now, about that $150 difference in price from then to now, I'd like to send you a paint matched Saitek keyboard and upgrade your shipping to overnight delivery for free for your troubles. If you can think of anything else you might need to know, please don't hesitate to contact me. I'll PM you with my personal cellular #, that way you can direct any questions directly to me and I'll be sure to handle everything right away. Once again, I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.

Sincerely,

-Wallace Santos
CEO - MAINGEAR

I am so happy I went with maingear... that the CEO took the time to respond to my post and explain the delays and make up for the price diffrence..that's really way beyond any serviced I've recived from any computer company.

I am very happy with the whole outcome and can't wait to recive my computer!

Thankyou Maingear!! :D

The new case is magnificent. Personally, I like it much more than the old one, and the old one is very nice. :) I'd post a pic of it but my camera is in the other room, choking, hacking, barfing, and generally on the verge of death. If I get a new one any time soon I'll post a pic, but don't hold your breath.

Anyone else able to post a pic of the new F131 case?

Nice, so how long have you owned your PC from maingear?
Any problems at all with it ever? I mean even the little things?

I got the computer back in the beginning of June and besides for the computer taking longer then expected like I mentioned before, I never really had a problem with maingear per say. My little problems really come from my own faults which maingear was great in helping me fix. My first call to their customer service was because I contracted a virus (I play alot of online poker and I think that is where I got it from)and I couldnt find it. Maingear helped me fish it out and told me about some programs to download and whatnot to keep my computer safe. My second time calling was because I was messing around with the settings and I threw something out of wack. I try sometimes to think I know what I'm doing and I usually just cause problems for myself. I called them up again and they helped me get everything back in order. Other then that I really have to say it has been great to me.

Wonder if you could ever get that kind of service with bigger companies like dell or gateway? I had my experience with dell once. Not at all well, they were rude and a lot of things weren't on my pc. Hoping that maingear is the only pc company I will ever order from.

I don't think anyone will every be able to get good support from Teir 1 places. My experiences have also left a bad taste in my mouth.

And I agree, maingear will be the only place I ever order from.
