QX9650/X38 now or wait for QX9770/X48?

Is there any significant benefit in waiting for the QX9770 processor and X48 motherboards compared to getting an overclocked QX9650/X38 motherboard now?

I wouldn't say it would make a huge difference. The 9770 is just an overclocked 9650 persay with a 200mhz bump.

You will also be using 1600FSB rather then 1333FSB but if you overclock the 9650 it wont much matter anyway.

When you say "not a huge difference", do you mean no real difference (assuming that we're comparing this to a QX9650 oc'ed to 4 GHz), an insignificant difference, or a sizeable difference? And when you oc the QX9650 to 4 GHZ, where do you set the FSB?

Lastly, will there be any major difference in the speed of the DD3 modules within the same time frame as the QX9770/X48 coming available?
