:idea: If you have an nVidia GPU and you have the nVidia control panel set to Advanced View, you can go to Manage 3D settings and click on the Program Settings tab to scroll down and find The Witcher. If you choose this setting, your GPU will use custom settings every time you start the game.
I haven't tried using it, because I haven't had any problems running the game. But, if you're running into problems and you have all the drivers, patches, and hotfixes in place that you should, you might try this.
