I just ordered a Prelude (black finish), and couldn't be more excited. This will be my first botique computer/gaming computer. Looking at the pic in the configure page, it appears to be solid sides w/no window. Nothing wrong with that, but I may want a window down the road...anyone know the name of the case the new Prelude uses (it has no front door). I wonder if I can order a replacement side from newegg or the manufactuerer w/ a window. Im not really looking to replace the entire case, as I can't justify the cost, given that I don't even have the computer yet.

Hello,
Firstly we'd like to thank you for your order and welcome you to our forums. The case is manufactured by Lian-Li. Unfortunately Lian-Li does not offer a side window to this chassis. If you ever choose to get a side window, you'll have to get it custom cut.
Thank You

Ok, thanks for the speedy reply. I will keep this in the back of my mind as a potential tweak. I also appreciate knowing the case brand simply for personal reference. Thanks again.

Yeah, I'll be happy to post pictures of the rig when I get it. It will supplement their pic section, which could probably be bigger, and show their non-painted products.
From the message I recieved on the phone, it sounds like it is about to be shipped. They required a verbal confirmation of the order over the phone, as I ordered from the website. Easy as pie.

If you want a side window, performance-pcs.com sells modified Lian-Li side panels with windows. Although I don't know why you wouldn't just let Maingear do it for you.

I wouldn't have had a problem letting maingear do it, its just that there was no option to include one in their drop down menu for the prelude. It was available for their more expensive computer, but that is out of my budget. I have seen pics of previous maingear preludes w/ window, but I believe they must have 'streamlined' the product (just my guess).
